If you are a music fan, then the next few weeks, you will be in heaven with heaps of events, gigs and concerts to keep everyone in the summer mood.
The Leigh Sawmill at Rodney welcomes Billy Bragg on the 15th of Jan.
Plus next week also sees Rod Stewart, The Police, Kings of Leon and The Big Day Out.
Later in the month will find music on the beachfront (Orewa), the vineyards and on the mountain (Matakana), as well as all the normal places such as bars, pubs and cafes.
To find out what is on in your area there are some fantastic event sites you can access on the web. Look for events in Auckland city and surrounds (including Rodney) at View Auckland. This site includes music, sports, festivals, art galleries and lots more. Or there is a “What’s on” column in the local Rodney Times. The Rodney District Council also has their own events site (and don’t forget to send your details to them if you are organising something).
If you are after something a little more cruisy this weekend, just lie back on one of our fantastic beaches. The weather is supposed to be hot and sunny this weekend.
