Book of the Week - Children

We have been processing heaps of new books to get them onto the shelves for holiday reading for our young customers.

A picture book which I think is going to be incredibly popular is The Runaway Train(Ben Blathway). Extra fun because it has flaps and pop-ups as the train chuff-chuffs through it's day as Duffy the Driver tries to catch up with the little red train using a speedboat, a lorry and even a helicopter.

On the children's fiction shelves, The OK Team (Nick Place) have arrived. Hazy Retina wants to become a superhero but he can't do it alone. First he has to find some equally low-grade superheroes to join his team. Supported by it's own website http://www.herohints.com/ (which includes Teacher Notes), this is the beginning of a new series.
