If you're looking to get out and about I can highly recommend the inaugural Stoneleigh Sculpture in the Gardens. It's on at the Auckland Botanic Gardens and showcases the work of some of New Zealand's most talented artists in a magnificent garden setting.
There are guided walks on Sundays at 1pm. More information is available on the newly redesigned Auckland Regional Council website.
I went on a guided tour last weekend and despite the rain and wind found it fascinating. There are some definite themes that come through - these artists are not afraid to be provocative.
