A bigger slice of New Zealand's history is now available online following the launch of Archives New Zealand’s new Audio Visual Archives website. It features more than 100 film clips sourced from the National Film Unit and is a big step forward in making Archives New Zealand’s audio visual collection more accessible and visible to New Zealand and international viewers.
The online exhibitions are a great place to start. They are small features about films, film makers and film archiving. If you want to dive right in you can search the collection by subject or free text through the wiki feature. This will take you to details about the films. To see them go to view films which gives you a list of full length digital videos.
