ROCKET INTO READING - Kokiritia te Korero Pukapuka
Our popular Summer Reading programme is on again with registrations opening on Saturday 8th December from 10am at your local library.
This 6 week programme targets mainly the 6-11 year olds and includes four visits to the library, a Rocket into Reading Kit and finale parties around the district (with guest storyteller) on 23rd and 24th January. Children will be encouraged with their reading, learning about using the library and can have fun while they are doing it. There are activity sheets, mazes, a colouring in competition and even some code breaking.
The programme is available free of charge but places are limited. Check-ins are spread out over the holidays.
To join children need to come into the library with their parents or caregiver and they need to have a current library card (if they don't they can get their own card at the same time).
