International Awards Season

The International Book Awards season is well under way with the announcement of winners and shortlists around the world.

And finally for one of the more unusual literary awards, the new Hippocrates Award for Poetry on a medical subject the short list was:

Insight by Pauline Stainer from Suffolk
Ischaemia by CK Stead from Auckland, New Zealand

and the winner was our very own Kiwi author and poet CK Stead.
