Radio New Zealand News reports that poet Alistair Te Ariki Campbell has died, age 84, after a short illness. In 2005 he received a $60,000 Prime Minister’s Awards for Literary Achievement for poetry. That same year he was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM).
