It's Fraud Awareness Week this week. Their aim is to show us how we can spot scams, protect ourselves from scams, and report a scam to help protect others.Most scams originate from outside New Zealand and once money is sent overseas it is virtually impossible to recover.
There's a new website ScamWatch which is designed to provide information we need to Protect Yourself from scams so we can recognise a set-up and avoid the hook and the inevitable sting of a scam.
