Happy Birthday Te Papa

Te Papa - our fantastic national museum is 10 today.
I love meandering through museums almost as much as I love loitering in libraries. And New Zealand has some fantastic museums, whether they are the large ones in our major cities (memories of visits to the Auckland War Memorial Museum are favourites of mine) or the smaller ones tucked away in the corners of our country.
I am ashamed to say I haven't visited Te Papa yet (something to do with never having been to Wellington) but it is definitely on my "to do" list. In the meantime I can visit the Te Papa website here and find out more about the History of Te Papa by clicking on this link.
If you are down in Wellington over the weekend, check out the programme for the birthday celebrations on Saturday.
Many happy returns Te Papa.
