One for all our clever crafties

The first Saturday of October (that's tomorrow) is World Card Making Day. And we know that there are heaps of people out there in Rodney that are into this craft (and it's close relative scrapbooking), because these are really popular books in our craft section. What's more, by thinking about it all now, you have heaps of time to put that personal touch to your Christmas greetings. And to help the children do the same as there are some really simple ideas or kits you can buy to get you started (if even I think I might manage it I am sure the kids can).

To find the books in your local library go the Rodney Libraries catalogue and do a subject search for Greeting Cards. As you can see there are plenty of books to choose from. And don't forget our craft magazines which also have ideas and templates for you to use. There are also books with projects specifically for the children so you can refine your search to the Kids Catalogue to find these.

If doing it yourself doesn't take your fancy, visit one of the local craft markets or shops to see the products of others.
